The village of Nikiana is located a few minutes from the hotel and stands out for its picturesque port with traditional taverns. In Nikiana you will find popular Fish Taverns and other restaurants, beach bars, tourist shops, super market, bakery, newspapers, Pharmacies and a Regional Clinic. In the wider area there are two organized beaches as well as the Limni beach, which is the most popular in the area. The sandy beach and the waters that are not deep makes it suitable for families. Along the coastline of our village, there are other several places for swimming (not organized) if you are looking to relax. The unspoiled landscape combines fantastically with Skaros hill vegetation.

Close to us you can find the traditional villages of Alexandros and Kolyvata. The walk in their streets will be like a trip to the past as the stone-built houses take you back to an era of past decades. Especially the route (5 km) from Nikiana to the mountain village of Alexandros, is an opportunity for those who like hiking. In this village you can find the Monastery of Agios Georgios built in 1611. When you visit it, you will have the opportunity to see important hagiographies and observe its main picture which is a copy of the picture of the church of Agios Minas in the center of Lefkada. 5km from Nikiana and inside a cave, in the center of the mountain of Skaros, is the Hermitage of the Holy Fathers. It is said that the three Holy Fathers monasticized there after the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea and taught the Gospel. It is the oldest Christian monument of the entire island. At a short distance there are also the well-known waterfalls of the island, a route through the vegetation and plane trees. The streams there end a at the central waterfall where a blue-green lake collects the waters.
